r. Shari Bridgman is
a licensed marriage and family therapist
with many years of experience in the mental
health field. After completing her undergraduate
degree at Wheaton College in Illinois,
Dr. Bridgman earned both Masters and Doctoral
degrees in Clinical Psychology from Biola
University in La Mirada, California. She
works with various clinical issues including:
grief and loss, depression, anxiety, parenting,
and relationship issues. She speaks on
a variety of women’s issues and
has been a featured guest on local radio
and television programs. In 1993 Dr. Bridgman
founded the Empty Arms support group ministry
at Saddleback Valley Community Church
in Lake Forest, California. As a result
of her personal and professional experiences,
Dr. Bridgman has a special burden for
grieving parents who have lost their babies
through miscarriage. She is the author
of, In Heavenly Arms: Grieving the Loss
and Healing the Wounds of Miscarriage,
which has helped thousands of women and
their significant others to deal with
the loss of their child. Dr. Bridgman
lives with her husband and three children
in Orange County, CA.
